    My mom was dying & in hospice house when my then 8 yr. old girl said " Grandma will you teach me something only you can teach?"
    Mom sat up in her bed, patted the side & grabbed a bag that we hadn't noticed. She pulled out a some yarn, a hook and a book. As she held my daughter in front of her and guided her hands, Mom shared how she had learned to crochet when she was very young but over the years had given it up due to life's little mishaps. Mom said that she was at the Senior Center a few years back when she picked up a book someone had left on the table. It was one of your first books. She thought that some of her Granddaughters would love the Quirky, Hip styles, so she went out to buy the book. That was the book that she pulled out when my daughter sat on her bed.
    My Mom passed 4 days later but she left the Love of crocheting & a wonderful memory with her youngest grandchild.
    My daughter who is now 10, crochets a lot. She has even been able to give away and sell some of the items that she has made.
    I want to Thank You for sharing your talents with us so that people feel inspired to pick up crocheting again and passing it on.

I highly recommend taking your blogging class and just being around such an inspiring being as you are to be around. You truly kept everyone in the class feeling included and heard.     I just saw your FLW inspired afghan in Creative Home Arts. It's wonderful. I'm a fan of your design and a fan of Frank. I'm lucky enough to live in Wisconsin so his inspiration is everywhere. I've added this project to my list and am looking forward to relaxing with Drew and Frank.

    OK, Dude, I'm not a purse-appreciatin' kinda guy, but those are REALLY cool. The top one in the grey/rose/gold tones (hard to tell on my monitor) has such texture to it, without being "too" much. EXCELLANT job.

    I bought the patterns for both Julia and Allison and I have made them both already. Your instructions were so easy to follow! My daughter wants a Julia of her own, and my neighbor has asked me to make Allison for her daughter in pink (I did mine in blues).
    And, thanks to you and your blog, my 9 year old son has asked me to teach him how to crochet. This weekend we go to the craft store to get him his very own hook and yarn and to pick up some pink for my neighbors Allison.
