June Conspiracy

Okay June, not funny sneaking up like that!  Hey January, remember when you promised me that it was a new year and all those deadlines were waaaay far away?  Oh well, I'm sure it's a some kind of lunar conspiracy and I'm determined to not take it personally.  Still, there are 17 things due very very soon so I best get to it.

In the meantime, here are some extreme closeups to give you and idea of what I'm up to:

Just Point & Shoot Me

And finally finally finally I have ordered a new SLR camera (Nikon D5000) that should be here any day. I have been taking photos for The Crochet Dude with a $150 point and shoot (not that there's anything wrong with that) for years now, but I knew the day would come that I would outgrow that little Olympus SP-350.  It's been good to me but I'm looking forward to some more professional results!

    I love the colors!

And I hear ya on months sneaking up on us. I think designers are somehow moved through a time warp and don't get normal calendars anymore.

Your $150 point 'n shoot does a lot better job than mine does. The first thing I thought when I saw this point was "oo the pretty colors!" Have fun with the learning curve of the new toy. I have had my "real" camera (Fuji Finepix S7000) since 2004 and I am still learning stuff about it.

Congrats Drew! Can't wait to see how you like the new camera - it still is digital, correct? I bet you will get fantastic shots/results with it; I can't wait to see!

You will get addicted to the new camera. Get a macro lens and you'll feel even more like a professional photographer

That said, I want a little point and shoot to carry with me. I saw little crocheted baby dresses for sale at our neighborhood post office today. THE POST OFFICE! Too cool ... and I didn't have a camera. I'm going back this week to document it
