The Crochet Dude Goes National!

I'm so excited to announce that I have teamed up with Leisure Arts, that fantastic distributor of craft publications that we have all grown up with, to launch a line of a patterns this summer under the brand The Crochet Dude©!  With national distribution this will be the opportunity to introduce my designs to many more people and I couldn't be more excited!  Watch for four digest-sized booklets of my patterns in a store near you in August (and if they distribute sooner I'll be sure to tell you!).

This is what my studio looked like in January as I started to work on the patterns:

Crochet Soiree!

And to kick off the week-long celebration of CrochetSoiree.com, the new crochet-centric website from Leisure Arts, I have put together a welcome video that is playing on their website today.  Check it out here:

Find my video at the bottom right side of the page.  While you are there be sure to check out the site; it's going to be a lot of fun for crochetiers of all ages and skill levels!

That is a great site!! So when are you posting a picture of yourself so members can find you? Or maybe starting a group?? If you have any "spare" time. Can't wait for your bookies.

    Hi Drew,

I know you don't know me yet, but I have been following your blog for quite some time now. My name is Tamara Gonzales and Leisure Arts hired me to be their blogger for Crochet Soiree. I love all of your designs and hope to meet you some day. Good luck with your new patterns and can't wait to see them.

I have switched over to mostly knitting in the last year, but I just have to say, you patterns rock! I am so excited that they will even more accessible to crocheters! I have sorta online stalked your work for about two years now and have never commented on how pretty and fun your patterns are to make. Not only that, they are easy to read and understand. I hope they don't over edit you and keep your flair for easy to read directions.

    Hi friend
Walking today through the internet, I discovered your blog. I found an extraordinary man in crochet as I do.
I am Brazilian, I have 22 years, and since the 13 work with this technique.
Here in Brazil, I know I have at least a man who also has a blog.
Outside those who engage in this technique.
Makes me a little, to understand everything I write, and to follow your story, after all, my English is not so good .. hehehehe Anyway, come visit my space, and know my work. I will be very happy to read your comment.

I wish luck and much happiness.

    A big hug, Cauê Santos

How completely exciting for you. I used to be a craft designer for the industry about 10 years ago so I know the thrilling feeling you must be experiencing. Sometime I'd love to feature your exciting news on my blog. With your permission, of course. Let me know. AND congratulations! Kathy
