Good thing I mowed

Yesterday morning, which would be Monday in case y'all didn't notice, that magic day of the week that makes nearly everybody grumpy-ish, I saw the weather report and there was some rain on its way.  So I mowed the lawn knowing that it was most likely my last chance for a few days because of the weather turning wet.

I had no idea it was going to dump rain.  Areas just to the west of me got 11 inches of rain.  Eleven.  (!!)  That's a foot of rain y'all.  Well, almost a foot of rain... close enough.  But I digress...

And since Monday alone didn't seem enough, I thought to honor St. Murphy and his so-called laws by finally FINALLY finding royal blue patio furniture for the courtyard yesterday.  For those of you who have been reading for a while you may remember that I've been in the house for several years with no where to sit but inside.  Sad really, since for the majority of the year it's so nice outside.  I'm happy to report that I can bellyache no more!  Hooray!  Except that I literally had put the chairs into place and it started to rain.  Literally. Thanks be to you St. Murphy, I shall wait another day to actually sit on the new chairs.

Chairs sans table

It's okay, actually, since the table hasn't arrived yet anyways....

Rain Leads to Organization, film at eleven....

The laundry room which is right next to the studio has a small leakage issue and when it rains hard the floors get damp in there.  And since it was raining cats AND dogs last evening (oops, I almost stepped in a poodle... sorry, couldn't resist... do you like fishsticks?) I felt compelled to empty out the studio's storage room which is adjacent to the laundry room.  The storage room, or the room of which I do not speak (ever see Monica's secret hallway closet on Friends?) has been collecting fiber related layers for a while now and it took me and the cats quite a while to empty it out.  It was quite like an archaeological dig actually, where I could identify certain events in my career as I uncovered each layer.

Long story longer, all was dry as I removed it from the room.  That being said, it's not all fitting back in.  Did I mention it was Monday?  Also, did you know that I'm a direct descendant of St. Murphy himself?    So I think once I have a chance to go through it all, sending appropriate stuff to my favorite charity, a giveaway will be necessary.

Stay tuned...

Cool chairs! I'm jealous, though, since I have the exact same chairs and mine are boring (dirty) white.

St. Murphy...hmmm, I know him well. His law supersedes all others in this world and I think he gets a big kick out of watching us jump when he strikes! Luckily it seems to usually be gentle torture. I get to carry that darn name around with me. Which seems to make me and mine a target for St. Murphy's Law!

As I write, the facebook dude portrait, where he peeks from his stetson, watches. Drew, a great photo.
But the patio looks very nice. Where do people find such cool stuff. Never seen that nice color before. Is that like an exact match to the blue through out your humble abode? Awesome, Dude.

    Here's hoping everyone's having a good day.
