Houston, we have lift off!
A huge Dudehug to everyone that came out for the book launch party on Saturday! I'm just now barely recovering from the experience; I was truly overwhelmed by the support! People flew in from out of state (North Carolina in da house!) and others drove from as far away as Austin to get their book signed. Thank you thank you! It means so much to me!

We started off with mimosas and I spoke a little about the book and the projects and what to look for in Designs for Guys, then had a great question and answer session. Pictured here from left to right are "To Aran is Human", "Metrocabled", "Stock Sweater" and "Vestatility", and the sweater I'm holding is called "Comforolled". (PS: you can see these on models at the Designs for Guys preview page)

Then as people socialized and shopped I spent the rest of the party signing books and seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and having one of the best days ever! Pictured are Laura (who is such a stalker fan!), me signing her book, and Amy, one of the co-owners of Yarntopia in Katy that hosted the event. (Rumor has it they sold out of the books during the event! Woo hoo!)

And being the wonderful hosts that they are, the ladies of Yarntopia are shown here (Sheryl on the left, Amy on the right) giving me a lovely gift bag with some delicious wine, beautiful wine glasses, and also Franklin's new book It Itches
! Thanks so much Yarntopia and everyone who stopped by. It's a day I won't soon forget!!

It was great fun and thank you for choosing a decent picture of me! Not that it is all about me or anything : )

Congratulations Drew, I wish I could have gone, but work took me away. You deserve all the good things you've worked so hard (and smart) to achieve.

Very cool, Drew, very cool. I'm actually scared that your book will be sold out through out the world before I get a chance to get one! LOL!!!
I noticed what Bev said about how you are looking...now how did she put it? Fit and Handsome. Yeah that about says it, all right. I guess when you said Ike kicked your butt you must'a meant the workout of the century! To tell the truth when I saw that top picture I thought, "is that Drew's kid brother?" Not kidding! You look great Dude. Enjoy the glow.
