Even Godaddy Was Surprised

So many people have emailed me asking "are the sweaters hip are the projects fun will my husband/brother/dad/me really like them?" etc and as I pondered my navel and wondered how to answer that question without sounding all "of course they will step right into Barnes & Noble and buy this book and hey it must be true that they will love the projects because it's right there in the title" and besides the caffeine induced run-on sentences and the fact that my finger was in my navel I came up with the idea that I should put a sort of pre-view page.  So I went to GoDaddy.com (where I host my site/blog) and searched to see if DesignsForGuys.com was available.

Hold.

Wait for it.

Taste the suspense building.

Hot head

Yes! Yes, it was available!  And when I talked to a Godaddy rep today she was even surprised!  It's just such an obvious website that you would think someone would have already bought it.  I wanted to be able to make a place on the net where I could put up some previous of the projects, etc.  I have added a few but haven't had a chance to put a ton, so check back later if you would like to see more!

So, without further adieu, I would like to debut the official page of The Crochet Dude's Designs for Guys!

    SWEET....you have been seriously busy.
I want to make one for me. Women's sweaters never have enough ease in them.

Thanks Nifer!  I've been hearing that from a lot of women, that they like the designs for themselves.  How cool is that!! I take it as such a compliment.

I LOVE the headband with the earflaps! You guys shouldn't have a monopoly on that one!

But showing it on a model who is bald kind of defeats the purpose. The top of his head will be COLD!

I saw two other models with hair they could have used.

I think this is a GREAT idea. I hear about books and wonder what is in them. Will I like them, or are they a waste of time and money? I want to see what's inside the book before I lay out money.

Thanks for the chance to see the book. I hope other authors follow your lead.

I'm so glad you like it!  I'm hoping to get some more of the accessories up on the page (there are 30 projects total) soon.  Stay tuned!

Johann, that is funny about the bald dude but really he looks like he could pull anything off! Very James Bond. LOL

I agree with you, a sneak peek inside the book is smart. Lots of times my library doesn't have a book I'm interested in and that's how I find out if I want it or not. Any way a super idea on Drew's part. Great sweaters, Dude!

It's been a long time since I've crocheted a sweater, this will make me dust the hooks off. I especially like the dark teal sweater with the stipes.

And guys KnitPicks, a great web site, also will give preview pages of the projects. The pictures are always the best way to sell a book! Can't tell you's how many times I saw the inside of a book and said "I GOT to have this!"

Drew, your designs are amazing and I know I already said this before but they are sooo soft looking. I am looking forward to getting this book of yours. And thanks!

Hoping your life is getting back to normal.

That is shocking, but very cool. If you only knew how many zillion names I checked at GoDaddy before settling on a name for my next venture!

I hate the grammar police as much as the next guy, but Drew, sweetie, I'm gonna tell you this 'cause I know you can take it - "without further ADO", not "adieu". Please? Help me out here - people listen to you!
