Lacy Shawl - new free pattern!
I just discovered that a shawl that I designed over the winter is now available as a free download!

From the yarn company's website:
Skill Level: Easy
Designed by Drew Emborsky
For those evenings when just a little wrap is required, this lovely crocheted stole is perfect. Crocheted cables add interest, while the silky smoothness of Moda Dea Bamboo Wool feels delicious!

Gorgeous! I was just looking for a pattern to take to the courthouse with me (assuming they'll let me take a wooden crochet hook in). This should fit the bill nicely!

Ooh, I love it! I've been waiting for the perfect crochet stole which is lacy enough. Yum! And your photo looks much nicer! The other one seems too lumpy. I want to use a thin yarn, sort of like fingering or something. Must go and calculate the probable yardage.
Thank you!

Also, how many stitches are required for the pattern repeat? I'd like to swatch a bit and find the thought of a 77-st chain a bit daunting for a swatch. I hope it's okay to ask you? Sorry if it's a bother! I don't feel smart enough to work it out on my own

Yeah! I was the one who found on the site. Glad you were able to see it. It is on my list of things to do.

Ok, a friend helped me figure out the stitch repeat. I've got to say again, it's gorgeous. Thank you!

Oh I love it! I'd love to know what you used for the stole pictured on your site. I like that much better.

Love it! Thanks so much for such a lovely pattern and gratis, too. It'll soon be time to dust off my hooks and try this wrap.

Drew, you have such a knack for creating unique stitch patterns and styles. It's too bad that the tiny pictures on the link do not showcase this. The picture in the pdf file is a bit better, but most people will decide whether or not to make it just based on the small photos...
Anyway, we are lucky enough to have your excellent photo of the stitches here. When you post this on crochetville (or have you already?), be sure to include your photo in the first post...I know so many crocheters will be lured by the gorgeous stitches!
