The Secret Revealed!
No, not The Secret as seen on Oprah, although I do have that DVD, but that's not the secret to which I refer. I'm talking about the announcement that I alluded to a few weeks ago. It's amazing how long these things take to work themselves out!
Anywho, as I was saying, I'm finally ready to tell you what the secret is, at least part of it, it's more of an announcement than a secret because although the details will have to be revealed later (hence the secret part) what I'm about to tell you now is more like of an announcement.

I have signed a contract with Lark Books to create a full-length book of my crochet designs! Holy cr*p! Seriously. As y'all know I loooves me some Lark and they did such a fantastic job on the book I coauthored with Annie (Men Who Knit and the Dogs Who Love Them
) so i'm thrilled to be doing my first full-length in color 128 page (more or less) book of crochet designs (now can you tell i don't know exactly how much I can tell you just yet?) with them. And the icing on the cake is that rumor has it that the editor that might be assigned to the project is a dude, that crochets! Woo hoo!
A big thanks to my agent (did I mention I have one now?) for negotiating a wonderful contract and also to my peeps at Lark for likin' what I do. I am so eager to get started!

'm looking forward to reading a crochet book which doesn't suck or try to suck one back to the early 70's - I lived through that once already...dressed against my will in crocheted Granny squares of hideous avocado, brown, and gold. *shudder* I was 4 yrs old, so I didn't have much vote on my wardrobe choices at the time.

Belated congrats from Liane (we met at the TKGA in King of Prussia last year) I was busy having a baby, (Jonah, 8 lbs, 1 oz) on May 1st, so I haven't checked out your blog, or anything on the internet in a while. I'm really happy for you!!! Once I'm sleeping through the night, I'm going to get to designing and teaching.
