Come Back Tomorrow
I have been able to spend about 45 minutes per evening working on the organization of The Studio. Yesterday morning I went to the home improvement store near me to see if putting in some unfinished cabinets (then finishing them myself, did I tell you I used to have a faux finishing company?) would be more affordable/better looking than getting some of the units from Ikea. Wrong-o... I couldn't believe how much unfinished cabinets were (let alone prefinished ones) and also, I couldn't see a way to install them without The Studio looking like a kitchen. So, watch out Ikea, The Crochet Dude is preparing his shopping list...

I seriously love my job now. It has been a looooong two years (guess who's blogiversary is tomorrow?) but worth all the sacrifices to get where I am now working full time as a designer. Proof that anyone can do anything if they put their nose to the grindstone. I have a lot of goals still to work towards, but more about that tomorrow.
For today i will leave you with two extreme closeups, one crochet and one knit:

Happy Anniversary!
And you seem to have made progress on The Studio, even in the before photo. (*cough*yeah*cough*pick*up*that*mess*cough) <--That cough needs looking into...
And the knitting with the cable looks wonderful. Can't wait to see what the professional version looks like.
You know I'm just teasing ya, right? I'm very proud to know you.

have you thought about checking out a real cabinet maker, and seeing if they'd sell you unfinished ones? might actually be cheaper than the big box store

You do know that once you step foot in Ikea, you will never be seen again right? And go during the week in the morning. Heh heh heh!
Happy blogiversary!!!

OHHH!!! Ikea this and Ikea that, the commericals!!!!! I finally caved !!! (and yes this is partially your fault hehe) and went this weekend.......... They opened one up here in Frisco (thats just outside Dallas Texas ) and OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!! This place is totally dangerous! to the financial well being of any house hold. If they ever start selling yarn lock me up and throw away the key! I was having thoughts of organizing and sprucing up my yarn/sewing area ...Now I am having VISIONS! Can't wait to see what you end up with.... For those of you who don't have a store close by or close enough do take a look online. Everything we looked at was well worth the money.
