Dressy Peachy Showbizzy

A note on the door.  A mysterious package that needs an adult signature (use your imagination).  One gets one's hopes up... However on the inside of the box is just the afghan that one entered in the Herrshnerr's (I can never spell that) Grand National Afghan Contest.  No note.  No explanation.  Nada.  I'm thinking that I may have won that free trip to Wisconsin and they are just holding out to build up the suspense.  Hello Denial, meet Drew....

Dressy

Here is one of the swatches for the custom work that I'm doing over the next few weeks. I met with my client the other day and discussed the fiber choices, now I am working up the design swatches for her to review:

Peachy

Here is a closeup of a garment that I'm just completing today for my wholesale pattern line.  Have I told you about that?  I'm on the verge of having the patterns ready for sale to a LYS near you.  In a couple of weeks I will be doing all the photography, with models and everything.

Showbizzy

I heard from the producer of a certain t.v. show that is filming in December for their 7th season and it looks like it's about 99% set that I will be filming a segment.  A dude could get used to Hollywood calling.  I'm just saying.

Wow, that dressy swatch looks really pretty and intriguing...will you post a pic of the finished product? Beautiful peachy colour too As far as this 'Herrsh' place goes, they must just be delusional if they didn't choose your afghan as a winner.

You are one very busy dude. Spider webby dressy thingy very very interesting. Help a girl out, what is the stitch called on the peach teaser, I've seen it before, I may have even stitched it before. Anyways, very nice. (as always)

I really like the dressy custom work you are doing. It reminds me of spider Lilly's. My Mom had red ones in the yard when I was growing up and I loved them. Hope we get to see a photo of the finished product.

    Drew,
The swatches are beautiful. I hope we get to see the finished products. That's great news about your patterns going to market soon.
And the Hollywood thing again. It all sounds wonderful.
Maybe they never saw your afghan. It was probably too nice and it was put back. Not to worry we all love your things.
    Best wishes,
    Ruth

Okay, that first swatch is just fascinating, makes me want to see more. And the yarn from the second swatch is so pretty, reminds me of sherbert. And I hope my favorite LYS will be carrying your patterns, can't wait to find out.

And I bet the afghan you sent the ungrateful is simply beautiful. I just got a catalog from them a couple of days ago too, but I'll be shopping elsewhere.

Ooh, the swatches look lovely! I especially like what Dressy might be. I must say, you're a braver man than me (of course, as I'm a woman, that's not saying much, but I digress) - I don't think I'd want such extreme closeups of my stitching.

Gee, Drew, we all could say that we knew you when you were just a crochet/knitting buddy. Now we will have a famous friend.

Too bad about the Herrshner's visit, however I managed to get there while we were on vacation in WI this year. Their outlet store is fabulous!
