Goin' Bananas

No crochet today.  Or knit.  Or even yarn shopping.  Sad, aint it?  But alas, every once in a while I have to do a chore, or run an errand and although I'd rather be working on a project, those pesky responsibilities get in the way.  I made my way to Target today.  (If you watch Oprah then you've seen my Target; it's the one that she and Nate use when they decorate the homes that her Angel Network has built here in Houston for the Katrina victims.)  Anywho, I needed some sandals to wear in the shower at the gym.  Sadly, I joined the gym again.  Although a necessary evil, I won't lie and say that I'm happy about it.  Check back in a few weeks though, I'm sure I'll be thrilled.  I'm sure of it.

Ripen!

Here you can see that the bananas that I harvested right after vacation have begun to ripen.  In fact there are three that needed to be eaten today/tomorrow.

    Drew,
Good luck with the gym. I exercise a lot on my Gazelle. It is so convenient and fun to use. You can purchase it locally and it is not expensive. I keep it in front the TV.
I think you can store the bananas an extra day or so in the fridge after they ripen.
    Enjoy this beautiful weather.

    Dude!
I bought the patterns for both Julia and Allison and I have made them both already. Your instructions were so easy to follow! My daughter wants a Julia of her own, and my neighbor has asked me to make Allison for her daughter in pink (I did mine in blues).
And, thanks to you and your blog, my 9 year old son has asked me to teach him how to crochet. This weekend we go to the craft store to get him his very own hook and yarn and to pick up some pink for my neighbors Allison.
    You are the best!

did you find a pair of sandals?? Of course it's warmer there than it is here. We now have WINTER boots where the sandals and flip flops were --I needed a pair for my son (his are actually split in half)--and was out of luck. Good luck at the gym. All that travelling putting on the lbs, huh?? I just started a diet myself...... aargh.

TARGET! I LOVE TARGET! I'm originally from Minnesota, and we're VERY hometown loyal to our Target. That's why Target rocks- it's built on all that Minnesota nice.

By the way, the swatches from your last post are fantastic- they really show off the beauty of the yarn.

Looking forward to the flexing-muscles photos you'll be posting here soon...
